PETITION FOR AN EMERGENCY STOP TO ANY NEW DEVELOPMENT ON CASTRO STREET, MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA.

  1. The City of Mountain View must stop all ad hoc development in the downtown and elsewhere and redo its 30+ year out of date precise plan.

  2. MV needs a comprehensive plan with professional standards and best practices including a survey of important historical and architectural assets and sufficient support for small businesses.

  3. MV will LOSE MORE BUSINESSES and BUILDINGS. Many are gone, many are threatened and will follow shortly.

We, the undersigned, ask the City Council to protect our downtown NOW and place an EMERGENCY STOP on new Castro Street Development from the Train Station to El Camino UNTIL Mountain View develops a plan that protects and supports its valued street scape and businesses.
